Dean’s Forum – Building Resilience: From Burnout to Wellness The Secret of a Balanced Life

School of Nutrition Advisory Council member and world-renowned neurosurgeon of the Pittsburgh Steelers Dr. Joe Maroon will be presenting this month’s School of Nutrition Dean’s Forum.
Dr. Maroon will be sharing his incredible personal journey and insight in his presentation: Building Resilience: From Burnout to Wellness The Secret of a Balanced Life
This important and timely presentation is open to all Sonoran students, faculty, and staff.

Dr. Maroon is a world-renowned neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally invasive surgery to speed recovery for his patients. He is a sports medicine expert and innovator in concussion management, personal fitness, and nutrition. As an Ironman triathlete, he lives and breathes his own advice.
Dr. Maroon is also the author of six books, and (co-)author of 40 book chapters and over 270 published scientific papers. He has given more than 150 presentations at national and international conferences, is senior Vice-President of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and is often invited as visiting professor and key-note speaker and is frequently interviewed and quoted by the media, including the New York Times, USA Today, Associated Press, ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and ABC News Nightline.
