Phillip W. Harvey PhD, RD, CNS, FACN, FISSN


About:

Dr. Phillip W. Harvey is an Adjunct Faculty member of Sonoran University of Health Sciences.  He is the Owner and Principal of Harvey Nutraceutical Consulting, an elite consulting company specializing in dietary supplements, CBD, food and cosmetics product innovation, development, regulatory compliance, quality systems and education.  Dr. Harvey has been involved in the nutraceutical industry and academic community over 40 years.  He has held Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) positions at Max One Nutrition and Life Force International.  Prior to his C-suite executive industry positions, he was the founding CSO for the Natural Products Association.  For over four decades he has held academic and researcher appointments at the following universities; University of Maryland Global Campus, University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, Southern California University of Health Sciences, University of New Haven Graduate Program in Human Nutrition, San Diego State University, California State University, Long Beach, and University of Phoenix.  He is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Nutrition Specialist and elected Fellow of the American College of Nutrition and Fellow of the International Society for Sports Nutrition.  His career research interests have been with nutraceuticals and trace minerals in sports performance, health and wellness and has published in leading scientific journals and presented extensively at educational and scientific meetings.    Dr. Harvey resides in San Diego and is a master’s swimmer, avid surfer for over 50 years and enjoys many outdoor fitness and endurance sports.
