Yasmin Abusamra PhD

Dr. Abusamra received her doctoral degree at Michigan State University in 2002, where she focused on mechanism and regulation of energy transduction in mitochondria and bacteria; kinetics, mechanics, and protein chemistry of electron transfer and proton transfer in cytochrome c oxidase.

She has performed research on cytotoxicity, antioxidant activity, enzymatic inhibition and elemental composition of some medicinal plants used in traditional medicine, with special emphasis on plants used in the treatment of diabetes, cancer and skin care.
