Tuition and Fees

Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition (MSCN)

The Master’s of Science in Clinical Nutrition Degree is on a four-quarter calendar system, each quarter is 12 weeks. The 2024/2025 cost of attendance is based on projected expenses a student may incur while enrolled in their program of study for an academic year. The tuition rate for the 2024/2025 award year is $734 per credit. Living expenses are the average costs students may incur within an academic year, these costs were gathered through Sonoran University’s Financial Wellness Survey and through online resources providing the average cost of living in Maricopa County.

  • Books, Course Materials, Supplies, & Equipment: This is an estimate of costs per academic year.
  • Housing and Food: This is an estimated expense that may be incurred during an academic year. Costs include rent, food, and utilities.
  • Transportation: Average costs a student may incur for a roundtrip commute from campus to home. Costs may vary based on travel distance and mode of transportation.
  • Personal/Misc.: Average costs a student may incur within an academic year for variable expenses, such as personal care, entertainment, and other living costs.
  • Federal Loan Fees: Average fees based on each year’s estimated cost of attendance. Fees will vary depending on the exact loan amounts for the Direct Unsubsidized and Graduate PLUS loans.

Executive Master of Science In Nutrition Business Leadership (MSNBL)

The Executive Master of Science in Nutrition Business Leadership is on a four-quarter calendar system, each quarter is 12 weeks. The tuition rate for the 2024-2025 award year is $1,253 per credit. Supervised Practice Experience (SPE)

The SPE program cost is $2,893 per quarter.
All Sonoran students and alumni receive a waived $50 application fee and an exclusive rate of $1,929 per quarter.


What are the fees?:
Non-refundable fees* and a $300 administrative fee.
*Fees associated with the Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen are paid directly to the vendors and are non-refundable. Please note that tuition and fees are subject to change. 

Are payment plans available?:
Monthly payment plans are not available.

When are payments due?:
Payment is due no later than the Friday before the start of the corresponding quarter.

Is Federal Financial Aid available for Sonoran’s SPE program?:
No. The SPE program is a postgraduate, non-degree program and therefore, per Federal policy, is not eligible for Federal Financial Aid.

Does participation in Sonoran’s SPE program allow for an additional grace period on my federal loans; am I still considered ‘in school’?:
No. The SPE program is a postgraduate, non-degree program and therefore, per Federal policy, students are not eligible for Title IV aid and the federal student loan grace period is not applicable while enrolled in the SPE program.
